Yesterday as the temperatures hit 30 degrees at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool , my daughter and I popped down to Carnac to enjoy the coast on such a lovely day.
We arrived at 3pm after deciding to keep my daughter out of the sun for the hottest part of the day to find the coast very under populated by tourist as the French schools were still in session.
We had some wonderful swims in the sea together, searches in the rock pools followed by coffee and lemonade at one of the cafe's along the promenade and we could not miss a visit to our favorite ice cream parlor.
For those wishing to enjoy the coast and all the tourist places without all the crowds, if you can get away to our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool out of the school holiday times, then you won't be disappointed.
Historically and for this season we have enjoyed some great weather from the start of April through to the start of the summer school holidays when traditionally people get away.
We still have some weeks available in September, come join us at La Forge to enjoy some late sun and the delights that Brittany has to offer.
