After spending Christmas and the New year at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool and gym I travelled back to the UK on 3rd January to take my daughter home. We tried a new route via L & D lines, Newhaven too Dieppe for only £80 return.
Dieppe is 300 miles from the cottage but with only a 4 hour ferry crossing rather than 6 hours on the other routes I felt fresh and the journey was fine.
Coming back to France on Friday 8th I was concerned with the snow and left early to arrive at Newhaven 2 hours prior to departure time and was to find the roads in France all grited and easy to drive. It was so nice to return and see the holiday cottage covered in snow.
