Yesterday at our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool and free weights gym near Baud I tried out the Fat Gripz Extreme on bicep curls.

Today I was back in the gym of the holiday cottage for chest and triceps. I found that I was almost on normal weights but found due to the thickness of the grips, taking the bar down to my chest gained me an additional 2 cms of movement and thus gave me such a better workout than normal.

In addition there was no pain in my elbows or shoulders which is fantastic news.

Guest staying in either La Forge or La veille Maison have free access to the gym and are more than welcome to use the Fat Gripz to get that little bit extra out of a workout.

Yesterday at our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool and gym near Baud I received an early birthday present from my sister a pair of Fat Gripz Extreme to add to the gym at the holiday cottage.

I did back and biceps yesterday and used the Fat Gripz on the barbell curls and firstly was shocked how light I trained but more importantly how much pain I felt in my forearms and biceps but on the flip side no pain what so ever within my elbows.

I've read that using the Fat Gripz is great if your suffering from tendinitis in the elbow or have shoulder problems of which I currently have both - so I'm looking forward to training chest tomorrow in the gym at the holiday cottage.

Today was dead lift day and I managed 8 reps with 140 kg then just 3 reps for 150 kg, after a few weeks away from training I have decided to ease back in to it rather than go to heavy to fast.

I will report back tomorrow how my bench press felt using the Fat Gripz and if my shoulder injury felt more at ease with the exercise.

Very nice house! Roomy and great for a family to spread out in. The pool was wonderful - just in the back garden. The garden too was beautiful with lots of pretty flowers! En suite bedroom was beautiful and a very comfy bed! The house itself is very close to lots of interesting towns like Vannes, Auray, Josselin to name a few and the location is very peaceful. Naomi, Mark and James made us very welcome and we would love to come back! :) Highly recommended!!

I n a quiet rural location, conveniently placed 3 miles from the town of Baud, with our most welcoming hosts Mark and Naomi, our week's holiday in Le Veille Maison was excellent! Clean and very spacious, with a very well maintained garden/terrace and views over the surrounding fields and river. Our 6 and 9 year old Grandsons could not stay out of the pool - perfect size and depth, very clean and safe for families - and a workout with Mark in the Gym set their Dad up for the week! August is perhaps not the best time for travel or places being open - many of the French businesses do shut up shop for 4 weeks - and getting into tourist spots requires an early start to get a parking space, but the location made it all worthwhile and there was still plenty of excellent French Cuisine on offer in Baud and nearby Camors. For the Grandparents, plenty of relaxation time and gentle walks. For Mum, Dad and the boys - adventures in kayaks, on Carnac beach and exploring the surrounding countryside - plus hours each day in the pool. Perfect for every taste. Talking of which - Crepes at the riverside port of Auray after a walk through the very busy and thriving Monday market - are a must for any visitor! No hesitation in recommending this property - ideal family choice. We have it on our list to return again one day.

As the weather remains wonderful this week at our Brittany holiday cottage near Baud I took advantage that our guest spent the day out by getting in to the garden in just a pair of shorts to weed and tidy up.

I am always amazed how many trips to the local dump I make each season keeping the garden clean and tidy for the enjoyment of our guest staying in either La Forge or La Veille Maison.

After lunch it was back in the pool with Naomi and James to enjoy the pool while it remains open until the start of October at 26 plus degrees.

September weather at our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool

September weather at our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool has always been wonderful with bright sunny days to enjoy. I have now lived in France for 9 years and every September has been the same - this week temperatures are forecast to reach 24 degrees.

The swimming pool is open, heated and offered on a private basis for those wishing to enjoy a holiday in September away from all the crowds of the peak summer holidays.

We currently have guest staying in La Forge and while they were out yesterday enjoying the market at Auray we popped in to the pool to continue our swimming lessons.

We still have 2 weeks available week starting 19th September in La Forge with the pool offered on a private basis now reduced to £350 per week.

La veille Maison will be available to rent from the May half term in 2016 until the end of the first week of September.

Today at our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool and gym we awoke to another bright sunny day - every year September always produces some lovely weather to enjoy a holiday in Brittany.

Although the days are bright, warm and enjoyable the evenings are starting to get a little chilly so we cover the swimming pool now to retain the heat to keep the water temperature around the 26 degrees level.

From 19th September we still have 2 weeks available for La Forge and for guest to enjoy the swimming pool on a private basis.
