After a 3 month holiday ' Spike' our resident Cockeral was brought back too his run at the Brittany holiday cottage today. He was as happy as larry staying at a friends place with 15 hens to himself plus Ducks and Geese, this Saturday I'm popping out to the local market to buy some hens to keep him company.
The couple who looked after him for me kept the hens I had bought last year as part of the deal, I thought it easer to sell them rather than get someone to come to the cottage every day to look after them during the winter months.
