Today Spike and the girls left the Brittany holiday cottage with pool for a vacation at a friends while I work. This gives me a few months to re-plant the chicken run. I popped into a garden centre this week and bought a box of Trefle Violet, a plant thats great for animal feed which I intend to sow in the run along with grass seed.
I'm looking to have just 2 hens next season with the idea of having a couple of ducks as well.
Looking forward to keeping some ducks next year and having a variety of eggs in the morning to eat and seeing the reaction of the children staying at the Brittany holiday cottage with pool.
