Brittany hoiday cottage with private pool and gym

I took my daughter back to England last week after a great 2 week holiday at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool and gym and I arrived back to La Veille Maison on 16th.

My training has been very up and down since the competition last October, with injuries that kept me out of the gym and poor diet to top it all off. After the first week of my daughters holiday I was feeling really guilty eating Pizza's and the like, so the second week I made an effort to eat healthy and I visited the gym on 3 occasions that week.

Since my return 6 days ago, I've trained 5 times in the gym at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool. I'm doing 2 days on, 1 day off using 3 different workouts. Chest and triceps, Back and Biceps, legs. Abbs are hit every day, using the swiss ball with weighted sit ups, getting a great stretch over the ball.

I have decided that because of the bad start to the year I won't be competing this year, my aim is now to do the south east championship in September 2011. The aim is to loose 4 stone in just over a year which is very doable...its less than a lb per week.

The gym at the holiday cottage gives me every thing I need to have a good workout and I'm looking forward to getting on the beach in the summer, It makes all the hard work pay off, getting the attention.

Woke up today to another glorious day at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool, the weather forecast is great for the entire week. The current guest staying at the holiday cottage that arrived on the 12th June are set to have 2 full weeks of great weather, they have a 4 year old boy with them, that's been having great fun learning to swim in the private swimming pool.

Today my first job was to vacuum the swimming pool and do a water check after which Ive painted the garden benches to give them all a spruce up. Its important to always make sure the cottage and garden look clean and tidy for the enjoyment of guest staying at La Forge.

The holiday cottage is still available from 11th September and I am hoping that I fill the month within the next few weeks, historically September gets booked June/July time. Its also a great month for catching some late sun which typically roles into the month of October. I will keep the swimming pool open into October depending on the bookings received.

Last Sunday morning my daughter and I got ready to depart the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool and one of my jobs was to make sure the birds were all ok for food and water.

The new guest staying at the holiday cottage had agreed to provide fresh water for them for the 4 days I was away and I filled the food dispenser up which holds enough food for 6 days.

That morning I found the new duckling that we had bought the week before had died, I found it in the sunken plastic file box that's used for a dip by the ducks. Unfortunately the larger duck goes in, has a good old splash around and departs leaving a drop of around 1o cms from the top of the box to the water level.

My daughter later told me that she had seen the baby duckling in the file box the day before but had thought nothing of it, she did not realize that she was stuck and so had remained in the water all night.

It was really sad to find the duckling on Sunday but a valuable lesson was learnt, to check the birds every night and perhaps put a lid on the water box at night.

The box does have its plus sides in that the ducks make the water so dirty that its easy just to empty the box every 3 days and refill.

The young boy staying at La Forge this week has said his favorite bird is the duck so I'll pop down to the local market in Baud tomorrow to buy a replacement.

The market town of Baud has a small market every Saturday and is just 3 miles from the Brittany holiday cottage with heated pool.

With a 310 mile car journey driving to Deippe for my daughters return to the Uk we got up at 7 am on Sunday, after spending a wonderful fortnight staying at La Veille Maison, we said our farewells to the current guest staying at La Forge.

La Veille Maison is next door to the Brittany holiday cottage with private swimming pool and used to be another holiday cottage that was let out by the previous owners, it has now turned into my main residence.

The aim in the future to do do up a renovation project to create a new home and then La Veille Maison will convert back into a holiday cottage.

Woke up this morning to a glorious day at the Brittany holiday cottage with heated pool, just the ticket for the new guest arrival later in the day.

With help from my daughters we cleaned the swimming pool and mowed the lawn of the garden to create a warm welcome for the guest.

The guest staying at La Forge travelled from Scotland and to catch the ferry from Portsmouth too Caen via Brittany Ferries.

With 16 weeks booked at the Brittany holiday cottage with private heated swimming pool so far, I am keeping my fingers crossed to beat last years record of 19 weeks. The holiday cottage is now booked up to 11th September but in order to beat last years figures I have extended the season for the heated swimming pool, not closing it until 9th October or even the 16th if someone booked the 2 weeks starting 2nd October.

If I can fill all those weeks that would put me up to 21 weeks assuming it finishes on the 16th October.

This week I got back into the gym at the Brittany holiday cottage with pool and gym after a 2 week absence, doing an all over upper body workout on Monday and legs today.

After the workout my daughter and I popped in to Baud to use the 25 meter pool for her to swim some 'big lengths' and she did a personal best of 8 lengths....well done Amie

Friday I will start my split routine doing chest /triceps and on Saturday back/ biceps.
