Brittany holiday cottage with private pool

Yesterday as the temperatures hit 30 degrees at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool , my daughter and I popped down to Carnac to enjoy the coast on such a lovely day.

We arrived at 3pm after deciding to keep my daughter out of the sun for the hottest part of the day to find the coast very under populated by tourist as the French schools were still in session.

We had some wonderful swims in the sea together, searches in the rock pools followed by coffee and lemonade at one of the cafe's along the promenade and we could not miss a visit to our favorite ice cream parlor.

For those wishing to enjoy the coast and all the tourist places without all the crowds, if you can get away to our Brittany holiday cottage with private pool out of the school holiday times, then you won't be disappointed.

Historically and for this season we have enjoyed some great weather from the start of April through to the start of the summer school holidays when traditionally people get away.

We still have some weeks available in September, come join us at La Forge to enjoy some late sun and the delights that Brittany has to offer.

Enjoying the great weather here again this week at La Forge Brittany holiday cottage with private heated swimming pool.

The current guest staying at the cottage are soaking up the sun around the pool and making use of the good weather my daughter and I popped down to the local garden centre to buy some additional pot plans. We planted up all the pots to place outside the front of the houses to make a warm welcome for the new guest arriving.

Each year the local mayors award hamlets awards for the flower displays so its important that la Veille Maison and la Forge don't let Kerbourbon down.

I'm looking forward to meeting the new guest that arrive at the holiday cottage with private pool.

Brittany holiday cottage with private heated pool and gym

2010 is my 5th season running the Brittany holiday cottage with private heated pool and gym and each year seems to get better and better with regards to the amounts of weeks booked. Last year saw a personal best of 19 weeks and with the cottage fully booked until 11th September this year its possible to beat last years record.

The pool is still open for an additional 4 weeks from 11th September and I'm now offering a 2 week deal reduced from £1098 down to £999. September is a great month for some late sun that merges into October, hence why this year I have decided to extend the pool being open until 9th October.

Brittany holiday cottage with private heated swimming pool

New guest arrived on Saturday 22nd May at the Brittany holiday cottage with private heated swimming pool to enjoy an extremely hot and sunny weekend. so much so that after working at a friends on Sunday in just shorts I had to stay out of the sun on the Monday,

On Wednesday I drove too Deippe to take the L & D lines ferry too Newhaven to pick my daughter up on the Friday for the May half term, we drove back via Deippe on Saturday catching the ferry departing at 10 am and arriving in France at 15.00.

The total cost of tolls for each leg was 14 Euro's and the journey time being 5 hours being Deippe is 310 miles from the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool.

The guest looked after the chicken's, Duck and Turkey while I was away giving them fresh water each day. I filled their food dispenser up before leaving which lasted them throughout my absence.

Last weekend I popped down to the market at Baud which is just 3 miles away from the Brittany holiday cottage with pool in search of an additional egg producing duckling. Unfortunately I was told to try again in 2 weeks time.

While at the market I noticed how many birds were being sold for meat production, be it ducks, chickens or turkeys. I have been pondering about rearing a turkey for Christmas as you can not buy a whole turkey in the super markets and decided to have a go, buying a single bird. The market stall holder said that it will be ready to eat in 3 months and would be delicious, if i can do the deed I'll buy a bird every 3 months, if not I guess it will end up being a pet for the entertainment of the children staying at La forge holiday cottage.

Each year I always make improvements at the Brittany holiday cottage with private pool, last weekend I replaced the wooden slates around the swimming pool that created the sun bathing area with featured slabs. Its brightened up the area so much and with a large potted palm tree added, changed the whole look of the pool.

Around the garden several new plants have been introduced to create a truly relaxing atmosphere while soaking up the sun or taking a swim in the private heated swimming pool.

During my sisters stay at the Brittany holiday cottage with private heated pool we had some great days out enjoying the good weather that April has to offer. One of those trips was down to Quiberon, where I have been before but opted for a drive along what is known as the 'Savage coast' and could see why it was named that way. We stopped the car at several locations just to jump up and take in the sights before us, in some locations the whole sea was a froth of wild water as the Atlantic hit the rugged coast line.
